Pop and pour to a deep golden straw hue with limestone, citrus mist, honeysuckle, spiced pear and wet gravel nose into glass. Layers upon layers of melon, sweet white fruits, and light honey can be picked out and contemplated for individual freshness and precision, or simply allowed to drench the palate - this is delightfully decadent. Nothing cooler than 'slightly chilled' seems to be the way to go with this wine. Two years since we last drank this, and many remaining.
BTG special selection offered at CUT...dark, inky purple with nose of cigar tobacco, roasted blackberry some cedar shavings and cassis. Big, bold but not over concentrated, layered dark fruit, rich mouth feel. Deep and long, would like to try this with more air
