Surprising wine under all aspects. This is a meaty powerful wine. As much on the nose as the first impression in mouth you do not think you are drinking pinot noir. On the nose the wine reminds me of another meaty pinot noir (Prophet Rock) and the first impression in mouth is that you are drinking maybe a Shiraz, but very soon you realize you are not as the red fruits kick in and the wine becomes all soft and velvety in your mouth and leaves down your throat pleasently.
Tasted blind and got absolutely fooled by it. The nose is reminescent of older chardonnay wines but there is a point of acidity/liveliness that betrays the fact it is not that old. In mouth, the wine is very chalky and without knowing it you are thinking Chablis but then you get the sweeter side of it and realize you were wrong. Again! Lovely wine very much enjoyed it.
