Alcohol :: 13% Darker purplish red. Yet another great expression of cool climate, bio-dynamic Syrah. This show a touch more intense and concentrated as well as dark fruits profile than the Souhaut Sainte Epine. However, similar to the Souhaut version, this is a non-showy, utterly calm Syrah. Blueberries and blackcurrant, sweet and intense but not jammy with the underlying complex mineral (literally liquid mineral!) that keeps the wine in shape and lifted. The inner strength and focus is definitely the signature of a natural wine. Delicious.
Alcohol :: 12.5% Beautiful bright ruby red with purplish hue. It is a joy even just look at the color. However, a wine is meant for drinking isn't it? Not to worry here as both nose and palate is as pure and fascinating as the colour. Bright red fruits, pepper, savoury and minerality that formed the highly refine aromatic profile. The acidity is rounded & ripe that bring on the salivating mouth feel to make you keep going back for another sip. Even before you realised, the bottle is already empty. Finished with complex savory and saline mineral and spices. Lovely.
Alcohol :: 13% I have never drank this wine in 2nd day as the bottle often empty in a short time. Definitely the best expression of Marsannay here. It was dominating but sour cherry, red pinot fruits and mineral at the 1st day. However, highly perfume floral scents take charge in 2nd day. Medium bodied, the bright and salivating acidity lingering on the palate from start till the end. Immense inner perfume, fine-grained tannin provided a smooth grip that leads to the delicious, juicy finish. I must say I prefer the profile of the 2nd day better but I'm splitting hair here. This certainly well worth a try if you have not already done so.
