A really lovely Poujeaux from a very underestimated vintage. In a pretty good drinking window now, medium weight and without aggressive tannins, it has all the hallmarks of Bordeaux. Has decent weight, cigar box, graphite, blackberry and smokey meats all combine beautifully. Doesn't quite have the depth, concentration and length of the top wines but a superb effort here.
An almost identical experience to my last bottle. Like drinking a highly alcoholic redskin lollie. This is normally a great value wine from Noon but something happened with this year as this is not representative of Drew's wines.
