Quite a slick offered this one, bright fruit and a stalkiness from the whole bunches which may be polarising for some. It was right on the threshold for me but overall a very easy wine to drink with plenty of interest.
For the price, this was a great VFM purchase and think this my most enjoyable bottle so far. Plenty of generous dark red fruit, earthy and dusty tannins and supporting oak which was initially quite up front but improved over an hour in the decanter. It is in a pretty good place right now but has the structure to age for quite a few years yet. It drinks better with food, a nice steak or lamb would be right on the money.
