Purchased at Leclerc Supermarché in Lesparre/Médoc. Decanted for 2 hours. Very dark ruby color. Nice nose with ample dark fruit (cassis, plum) and some cedar notes, slightly alcoholic. Quite tannic on the palate, nice, but does not match the quality of the nose, medium body. Short finish. Not sure if it will get better with time. Rather not.

Very unique wine. Nose ist quite surprising considering that it is a blend of 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc: the nose created a strong impression of a Spätburgunder (Burgundy red) with ample dark cherries and blackcurrant, very intense and complex nose with lots of spicebox; very dense on the palate, very nice mix of dark fruit and spice, some licorice; here again a notable absence of tannins with sill a good medium body remind more of a Spätburgunder; long and lingering finish, very satisfying; overall not a typical Bordeaux taste despite he bordeauxish' blend, but still a VERY nice any unique wine. Drinks well by now and unlikely to get even better with time (due to low tannins)

Very nice, amazing and pure fruit and minerality, complex aromas, just lacking a bit of body and substance, lingering aftertaste, great entry level Riesling from this winery
