Had this wine at La Medusa in Seattle's Columbia City neighborhood. The wine was light bodied, but smokey and leathery in a delightful way. It was enjoyed even by the non wine drinkers at the table!

Very pleasant, though took the back seat to lovely farm-to-table dinner of pork terrine, goats cheese and fresh bread. Garnet red, and very opaque. In the nose the sense of leather was immediately noticeable, with secondary notes of anise and dark fruit.the palate was fruit forward and smooth: blackberries and a hint of spice. Very drinkable, if not thoroughly memorable. Not sure if that is bc of the wine or the distracting high quality of conversation and food.... May be underselling.

Very drinkable red.my first wine in Washington, quite fittingly. Red fruits come on quite strong at first. The nose co.rains subtle spices, and when poured through the venturi, a quiet earthiness. Secondarily, in the palate, spice, star anise, and maybe even a little mintiness, and minerality.
