~30 min decant. Still got a lot of youth. Color is settling into a nice Crimson with a cocoa and vanilla nose. Tannins are quite upfront still, but getting there with the fruit. Black currant, fig, cinnamon, stewed fruit on the palate, long finish.

Fantastic bottle. Decanted 2 hours, not nearly enough as it continued to open up in the glass and over the evening. Deep purple in the glass, soft edges. Blueberry and earth on the nose, with a hint of cedar and pencil shavings. Cocoa, sandalwood, plum and mint on the palate, good viscosity, long finish. While this was quite ready, it should get even better over the decade.

Dark red color, very funky nose to start, was worried about a flaw. Then definitely resolved, dusty red fruit nose. Plum/tomato, leather, graphite on the palate, not too long a finish. Does have tannins left, might last another 3-5 years.

1/29/2012 8:00:00 AM - I'm A fairly new transplant to the PNW from Connecticut. Curious where you are buying your Bordeaux and Burgandy wines. Stores on the east coast stock a good selection, here not so much. Thanks,
