White flowers, melon, and musk notes dominate the nose. In the mouth it is dense, spicy, almost mouthcoating and heavy; spice and mineral dominate the flavors almost to the exclusion of fruit notes.

Dark purple in color. Tarry nose, with hints of stone, graphite, cough medicine, a little bit of meatiness. Feels very alive in the mouth, with dark cherry, blackberry, and a smoky, chewy finish. Really well put together for the price.

I found this to be one of the most elegant and silky zins I've tasted in a long time. Nose is of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, with only a hint of jamminess, a little bit of forest floor. On the palate it's just silky-smooth, with waves of sweet raspberry and deeper berry flavors, coupled with a bright liveliness. With time a dense bit of almost caramel or mocha comes out on the finish.
