The cork was dark on top and fully saturated, but happily the nose is sweet with flavors of pears, apples, light caramel and honey. Rich golden color that is somewhat darker than my last tasting several years ago. Taste is smooth and creamy, without the acidity I remember. Still a true delight. It is time to drink up remaining bottles.
At a group double blind tasting. The bottle was from my cellar. Much more advanced than the last bottle I had some 18 months ago. Dark purple in color and mostly dark fruits and chocolate on the nose and palate. Medium bodied, great balance and a finish that went on and on. What a treat. Well received by the others in the group. I'm glad that I have a few more bottles to enjoy.
