4/9/2015 1:31:00 PM - Hi, Devlin004. Got the message about the Corton. $65 might be high, but the wine is getting hard to find and drinking very nicely. If you are just starting in Burgundy, you might look for some Volnay producers (I have some 2-3 that is drinking nicely) or some Savigny-les-Beaune (I have some Villamont 2010that is also drinking nicely) They should be available for less money and give you a great intro to some nice Burgundy.
3/23/2015 1:31:00 PM - Thanks for getting back to me. It has just been a shock over the last two years with the selection in the local store. I brought my cellar from the states, but it is dwindling. I have ordered a lot of wine that is sitting at my parents house waiting to be brought back....8 bottles at a time! Sigh...Would you mind sharing the websites of the importers assuming they have one?

Sorry about the late answer. I get most of the wines here in Iceland. I order a lot of it from importers (not all of their selection goes to Vínbúðir) through Vínbúðir. Takes a few days but costs nothing extra. Apart from that every time I go abroad I try to get hold of some stuff. I think it is also possible to order bottles from larger stores in the south. I'm not sure however if that comes at an extra cost. I absolutely agree with you that the selection here is not good. The situation in the north is worse though than here. At least we got at least three decent stores in Reykjavik.
