Stunning. The nose is intense and full of complex aromas of green and yellow apple, roasted nuts, toasty buttered brioche (lees), mushrooms, fleur de sel (mineral), and pretty florals. The palate has a tremendous clarity of flavors: the fruit is accompanied by a nice, slightly sour, tang of acid and stony mineral cut that adds lift and refreshing balance. Certainly Meursault, but one with great poise and precision.

Great stuffing, but needs more time to develop. This is more delicate and austere than the Brut, showing more lime-like qualities. Here I find more old-world styling; good acid backbone, structure, long finish. Not showing a lot, but will age nicely.

Very expressive and forward. Lysol, orange pulp, creamy palate, pastry (tarte), plush, meyer lemon juice, cigarette ash, toasty, peanut shell, raw cookie batter, and melon rind. Lacking only the level of acid and minerality that I would have liked to see.
