Interesting that there still is some fruit left in this wine. For the most part the tannins are very soft at least any trace of them. Not too much bricking, but a nice mature wine. decent druit like I stated gives way to a short to moderate finish. Much impressed from some of the other 1970's that I have tasted
Great dark color and very robust style. Deacnted for two hours and continued to get better over the course of the night. Flavors of berries, cassis, and some lead or herbaceous qualities. Just beginning to get complex, many years ahead.
Decent to great nose from the start. First tatste indicated to me that the bottle was stored correctly. Cork was pulled intact. Some hints of cherry fruit on the palate, and even some low to mid tannins as well. Started to show signs of fading of stewed tomatoes after 45 minutes or so. Probably past its peak but for $65.00 US, it was a nice experiment.
