No signs of drying out, which surprised me a bit since i had a bottle two years ago which was clearly over the top. Overwhelmingly perfumed, not only in a positive way, as the violets came too close to candy for my taste. Nevertheless, very well balanced with impressive length for an 11 year old chambolle villlage, and refreshing acidity.

Fantastic perfume to start with, more piedmont than rhone i would say, after 30 minutes with air, typical peppery aromas emerged, good balance and mouhfeel initially but too quick the fruit disappeared and left a somewhat unpleasant astringency. This wine seems to have seen its best days already. Slightly disappointing, yet absolutely fine with grilled lamb and mashed pumpkin with truffle.

On the nose dark berries and with air some mintiness, hint of vanilla/oak on the palate, sweet and medium long. Positively fresh for the vintage, but too oaky and unelegant style to be a great village burg. May yet benefit from another few years in the cellar.
