9/22/2022 5:20:00 PM - I'm loving the Rome story! Our family had a fabulous trip to Rome and Tuscany in 2019. You are still there right now. I wrote a tasting story that might currently be of interest with respect to the restaurants where we dined. We LOVE Rome and envy you and your wife on your new journey into retirement. Have fun!

8/31/2020 6:14:00 AM - I just took an hour to read your fabulous Rhone adventure. It must have taken some planning but so worth it. I have a number of wines that you tasted in my cellar or have tasted differing vintages of cuvees that you sampled. I could particularly relate to your Chapoutier opinion!! Thank you for sharing your tour, I will scour these pages for others!! Kindest regards

5/1/2020 1:35:00 PM - Your "Wine in the time of Corona Virus - Quarantining in NYC" thread is really cool. What a great way to help make it through these times. Hope you and your family are healthy and well!

1/18/2020 9:26:00 PM - Your Thanksgiving Piemonte write-up is so good!!! It is yet another one of your works that I have bookmarked. Thanks so much for taking the time to share such a great journey with superb notes and photos!

1/6/2019 4:29:00 AM - Your review of N. Rhone was incredible and extremely insightful. Thanks for sharing. I am heading there with a group of friend in a few weeks (same weekend as Marché aux vins d'Ampuis 2019 - lucky break!) and we were hoping to visit either Gilles Guillaume of Franck Balthazar in Cornas. Your visit with both of them sound like the experience our group would cherish. Their contact information (ie email) is hard to come by online - how were you able to contact them? Would you mind sharing their e-mail address? Thanks in advance. Cheers, Kyle Harvey.kyle@gmail.com

10/4/2018 2:26:00 PM - Wow! I really enjoyed reading your recap from the epic offline. Thanks for the photos and notes!

2/6/2018 1:59:00 PM - Love the Cavalier King Charles' ! I have a 4 year old that looks just like the one on the left! I made a comment on one of MC2's notes in his tasting story about the old Barolo tasting you did. Sounds like you guys had a great time and some great wines! Shame more of the Baroli were not decanted I fine old Barolo usually needs it. Cheers! "oldwines" aka Dave dave@dtpwineadvisors.com

10/14/2017 5:24:00 PM - I noticed you stopped rating wines halfway through your tasting notes. You still write good notes on wines I've tasted though.

12/9/2016 5:47:00 PM - 29 grower champagnes and superior fried chicken!? You can depart this world happily after such an experience...but we would encourage you to stay and play with we CTers ;-)

7/26/2016 9:54:00 AM - I stood it upright in the morning - there was only a moderate amount of sediment. I opened it about two hours before dinner, tasted it and decided it did not need decanting. I put the cork back in the bottle and left it in the cellar for about 30 minutes before dinner so it would warm a little. It was actually a bit better as it got around 62 - 65 degrees than it was at cellar temp. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did - I will say that I have had around six of these and this one showed the best. But all have been good - it seems to be more about how much earthiness there is in the wine, because as the fruit fades the earth becomes more prominent. The wine last night had more fruit than the others I've had.
