One of my favorite versions of this fantastic and little known Italian grape. Deep purple, charcoal and cinnamon. Better than some I've had at twice the price; my standby for Aglianico.

A much underrated Syrah. I stopped at the winery in Sonoma and the Syrah was by far the standout. Years later, I picked up another bottle in the store (first time I'd seen it sold outside the area), and it reaffirmed my initial impression. Not as heavy and hit-you-over the head as some other Syrahs, but flavorful and true to the varietal.

Argentina's "native" white grape; a great alternative to chardonnay or pinot grigio.
