Disappointing bottle. Decanted for three hours again although had only taken out of the wine fridge 1hr before opening this time round. Good strong nose if slightly acidic (could smell the bottle sitting in the decanter from a metre away as i walked through the house), reasonably similar impression in the mouth to previous bottle with strong red fruits, a bit of cigar box, good depth/structure and reasonably intense but this dropped away fairly quickly to a mildy unpleasent aftertaste leaving an odd bitterness/acidity. I don't think it was corked but am pleased i'd had a much better experience with this wine 48hours earlier otherwise wouldn't be looking forward to cracking into the rest of the case. Let's call it a flawed bottle. Will try to leave the rest of them for a few years.

Decanted for 3hours and drank over 2 with Rib Eye and potato gratin. Great wine fior cutting through the big steak. needs a few more years but is drinking well now with plenty of time in the decanter. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste but that didn't stop me opening a second bottle 2 days later just to make sure (with different results..)
