All about racy red fruit and oak, I think the latter will integrate into a spicy element eventually. Perfect drinking window if you don’t mind the oak influence still.

Stumbled upon a small stash for $25 (you read that right) at a local retailer this afternoon and of course had to open one with steak tips. Reputable shop from which I’ve purchased other older bottles - the owner occasionally liquidates stuff he’s tired of drinking.
High fill, pulled the cork around Noon and let it sit until dinner. Tobacco leaf, red fruits and some cedar aromatically, this is absolutely seamless on the palate. Took a sip early and it was showing some tannic bite, but several hours of slow ox coaxed this into a perfect drinking window. All in harmony - tons of fruit left. Well stored bottles like this have years to run though it obviously is a mature wine.

Killer bottle, at maturity but plenty of fruit left. Touch of leather/brett makes this really interesting. Drink within 5 years.
