Opened 90 minutes prior to drinking. Much better than last bottle. Last bottle had something a little off. Concentrated fruit like a boysenberry liqeur. Tannins still present and a little sharp on the finish. The concentration and roundness save the day. I prefer the 2013 based on several bottles of each. I don’t think it gets better from here and would drink this with a ribeye.

After being open an hour and from Bordeaux glass. Bright plum, sour cherries and hint of tea along with light spices. Had alongside Jann Chave and would say Jann Chave is a little more round and silky than Alain Graillot. Both are very good.

Opened about 45min and drink from Pinot glass. Medium body and very well balanced. Juicy black currant, a little pepper and spice and silky, soft tannins. Excellent wine, especially for the price.

12/28/2012 10:24:00 AM - Let's see if we can get a few folks together for early next year and pick a wine theme. My wife and I can hold it at our house and we can serve paired lite tapas. I have one other local CellarTracker member interested and have a few serious wine collectors I know too. My personal email is djlevin@cox.net.
12/26/2012 3:18:00 PM - The serious CellarTracker foodie/wino members in the Valley area should get an off-line group together for sharing wine dinners and tasting events. What do you think?
