totally agree with the previous 2 comments. Amazed that this wine when decanted for an hour was still young and not played out after all this time. My sister had saved a bottle that was gifted to her and not being a serious wine collector had siimply stored it on it's side in her dining room exposed to light and temps over 70*. Was completely expecting it to be ruined but amazingly the initial bouquet proved otherwise and then the initial tasting just after opening showed that this wine could take a licking and keep on coming. Young, forward fruit and completely integrated tannins made this a most memorable experience.
Very pleasantly surprised after 2 bottles over 4 hours. Definitely a pop n pour. Both bottles had a distinct nose of musty forest floor with a hint of blackberry. The palate reveals forward fruit of sour cherry and very balanced tannins. Light and pleasant. This is not a 1er cru but still drinking well and a great value. Will look for more to drink this year. Don't wait drink now
Opened last night at a pinot tasting and was immediately wowed by the classic forest floor nose. A little light on the palate but still had lots of life and was very balanced. Drank over several hours and while not noticeably improved over the time, it remained very delicious. My clear favorite among the 8 bottles we drank including a few that were more expensive. Will definitely try to find more
