Dark and red fruit intermingled with pencil lead and floral notes greet you out of the glass. The mid palate is quite silky leading to a tannic finish. This is still young and would actually find this wine ageworthy contrary to earlier posts.
Deep garnet in color, big ripe fruit, mostly dark, plums, chocolate, mocha, some christmas spice on the nose. medium to light on the palate despite the overripe nose, slightly sweet on the front end and slight acidic on the finish. Tanins are very soft. Def a more fruit driven wine, delivering super value!
A strong aroma of overripe plums and prunes, under growth and sour cherry greets you on the nose. medium bodied on the palate and slightly vegetal and hot. After an hour in the glass, the wine softened up and the heat subsided. A good showing for a difficult vintage.
