Same notes as last TN. Solid Ain effort from Ridge. This is holding together well. Still lots of life. Some licorice dark ripe fruit notes raisins there roasted prunes without the end of life feel. Acid tannins fruit balanced & suggest several more years of evolution.
P&P....Dark violet color. Nose is a bit green, herbal & floral. NIce mouthfeel, the green attacks, then some fruit, then the Italian structure, bit of acid, fruit, oak, pretty balanced & needs a bit of food.
Had w a nice red sauce and it never came around. Same palate through the meal never opened up unwound.
Not too dark, nor concentrated, restrained Chilian. Some of that toasted oak, full high mountain Cab flavors, notes. Balanced. Bit green, tat, some acid notes through day II. Lots of time to evolve but drinkable w a decant. Not sure the hype matches. Loads of second wines around comparable to this high end Montes.
