12/26/2012 11:09:00 AM - Yes, that appears to be how this message board works, which is rather odd. I only started using this app/service to keep track of all my wine, but since most of my wines don't have many reviews or scores, I had to start voting regularly myself.
As for Cinnabar, I wasn't a big fan of earlier vintages, but that year seemed to work well for them. The Mourvedre and Petit Verdot were also good, but not as good as the cab. I've gone through 3 cabs in the past year, and they were all very good, so I think. I'm hoping they'll improve in the next few years, but I'll keep holding them till they last--which is why I need to score so I can keep tabs on when they peak, but you only know the peak after it peaks, right?
I've been off and on AWS, etc. services/subscriptions. I find between me and my bigger wine friend, I have more than too many good wines to choose from already, and until I drop my inventory another 20 or so bottles, I'm not really in the market for buying. I only want to hold about 5 years' worth, which seems to be about 150 bottles on average, and I can replenish that with my short list of Napa winery favorites alone: Biale (zin), Frank (anything), Siduri (pinot).
12/21/2012 4:32:00 PM - I'm trying to understand how the friend feature works here. I think I've got it. We can write on each other's walls in public. Not ideal I suppose. I see you enjoyed the Indian Valley Cabernet more than I did. I hope you are right. I've got 2 more and you have 9! Are you a AWS member?
