2/21/2016 3:41:00 PM - Only pieced together who you were after we met at your shop. Pleasure meeting, see you when I'm in your neck of the woods again!

11/26/2014 7:55:00 PM - Reference to the 2012 Domaine des Lises Crozes-Hermitage tasting note; Since I have a cellar, I automatically postpone tasting my wines at least two years after purchasing. In this case, I might open this 2012 CH next year.

11/11/2014 10:29:00 PM - when are you coming out to Colorado for a visit? Let's get this thing in gear. You can crash here, we'll pillage the cellar at night, mountains by day. Be warned, I like, erm, love, Scotch.

3/16/2014 3:19:00 PM - you need to get your hands on some of this -- 2012 Broc Cellars Cabernet Franc Whole Cluster Santa Barbara County

3/7/2014 7:45:00 AM - Yeah, Winex had it every year for a while for $39.99. Now they're $64.99 which is about the lowest I see on W-S. It always seemed too good for the price...

3/4/2014 9:42:00 AM - Hey Yofog, you seem plugged into the retail side, and share a love for Murrieta...any idea why the MdM GRE jumped more than 50% in price from last year? I've been buying them for $40/bottle for years and the lowest price I can find on the 2005s is $65!

8/6/2013 8:51:00 AM - No, thank you! Honestly, I'm just as impressed with the level of your Burgundy notes! I'm wine buyer at a shop in southwestern CT, near NYC, and many of my notes come from trade tastings. So, eg, about half of my Sherry notes are from Sherry Fest, though I do drink a ton of Sherry on my own. Some of my cognac notes are from my own purchases, but things like the Surrenne 1946 are from tastings. A lot of my notes for higher-end Burgundies are from events like the Martin Scott tasting in Sept. at Lincoln Center. Etc. Basically, though, Sherry and Cognac are two of my biggest loves, so I go out of my way to try them.

8/5/2013 2:26:00 PM - It's great to see such articulate notes on Sherry and Cognac. How do you get the opportunity to try so many different? Also, your scoring seems very honest and fair. Thanks!
