Drank side by side with an '85 LLC. The 85 was more fully matured and ready to be drunk. The 86 was still tannic and seemed unresolved. All at the tasting agreed it still has years before it hits its peak which we all felt was very high. Hold 5-10 yrs.
Drinking really well. Some Tanin still present, but wine is well balanced overall. A little smoke and dark fruit. 12th anniversary wine. A lot has happened between 2003 and 2015. Wine is good to go now and confident it is good for a few more years if stored well.
