Stunning wine. Fantastic black fruit alongside a little development. Tannins assure a long life, but it's delicious now. One of the best Northern Rhones I've ever had.

A complete, elegant wine from one of the better recent years, a year with plenty of ripeness, but, in this time of global warming, would now be classified as a classic vintage, not a hot year.
Bright red with a darkish tinge. Fresh nose. Delicious palate featuring juicy red fruit with nice complexity due to the additional notes of dried red fruit, a savouriness and ferrous-like minerality. Absolutely gorgeous wine that screams Burgundy. Such a great balance between fruit that is perfectly ripen without a hint of overripeness and the brightness you expect from Burgundy, although the ripe fruit is more than sufficient to make it enjoyably on many levels, from cerebral to hedonistic.

Located next door to Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard from the exceptional 2009 vintage, this is a good example of Gevrey Chambertin. Typical sweet and sour red fruit. Tannins still noticeable but not overwhelming the fruit. Some tertiary savoury notes, but still firmly in the background. Will keep for many more years, yet. Drink over 5 years if you prefer primary flavours or 10+ if you want more complexity. Good.
