I know the 2006 vintage was very powerful and requires more time vs 2007, I bought a case and wanted to try a bottle. Decanted for 4 hours but tasted along the way. This is a huge brunello, definitely young and needs more time to evolve. I thought the tannins were not extremely overpowering but I kept wondering "do I like or dislike this wine?"this was experimental for me. There was definite hints of cola and cherry, but I didn't detect any floral notes like I usually do in many brunellos. Like I said, this is a masculine wine and (at this stage) not an elegant expression of brunello. Conclusion: my wife and I "enjoyed"the bottle but we recognize that we likely won't revisit the next bottle for at least 5 years. I would rate this a 92 and hope with 5-10 years of cellaring this could move a point or two higher

PnP, smooth, tannins have integrated nicely. Lovely brick hue at the rim. Quite nice, I don't usually drink Australian wines, however, this is quite good.

Cork was dry and crumbly, wine was actually quite good. For my Tate, this is drinking very well. I'd say the one has a good year or two left.
