Pours an inky-purple color, nearly opaque. Aromas of berries immediately burst from the glass, as it calms down and I dare put my nose near the glass, I get some floral touches and whiffs of toasty oak with the heady aromas of mixed berry compote. The palate is deceptively balanced and not, ultra-rich given the nose. Good balancing acid for the medium-to-full bodied wine. Very much in the modern style, and very enjoyable.

Earthy and animalistic, funky leatherman of a wine. Oaky tannins a touch overpowering. Tart red & black fruits. Not entirely unenjoyable but odd for certain.

Big, densely structured. Inky purple, smells of cassis and dark berries. Definitely a Barossa wine, but nice inherent balance all the same.
