All I can say is wait at least another 5 years. This is not ready. In fact there so little change to this in the last 10 years that maybe it will never be ready. Either way, I don't predict greatness, despite the vintage

This has gotten so much better since last I tried it. Tannins have softened but are still present. Surprisingly sophisticated throughout, with strength, balance and length of flavour. Perhaps this can still improve, but at the very least it will hold at this level for another 5 years or so.
One of the reconditioned bottles from the chateau, very pretty in fact, with a new label and all. This is the way to enjoy mature Bordeaux! No risk of misfire. A truly classic wine this, still fairly deep colour with just marginal bricking. Earthy old cellar and leather on the nose, the balance is great and the fruit mostly noticeable on the mid palate. Tannins almost fully resolved but still present, I think this will last at least another 5 years.
