Not overly tannic or dry, very good concentration of dark fruit, including cherry and currant, well structured, nicely balanced, and without apparent flaws. Far more like a Loire cab franc than anything coming from CA, ostensibly due to the North Fork climate. A pleasant surprise from Long Island.

Past its peak in 2019 - garnet color, muted and closed at first, but improved substantially an hour or so after decanting.

Still exhibiting good structure and fruit, pleasantly surprising and better than expected after 23 years.
