Restrained nose of red fruit, light strawberry. Vegetal on entry, acidic and structured across the palate revealing tar and some high-toned fruit. Less Barolo in profile than a moderate Bordeaux cru bourgeoisie. I found this hard as nails after a moderate decant. There is fruit yet be revealed, decant could have been longer and I’ll wait several years for the next one. I’m not holding my breath though — this is respectably built but lacks excitement. There are better comparable 2010s out there (stored properly in temperature-controlled cellar).

Good now, will be better in one-two years. I've had two bottles with several more stored away properly. Lovely floral nose, a good core of cherry and berry fruits, and baking spice that will continue to develop. Very polished across the palate, well balanced, medium finish. Decanted 45-60 minutes (highly recommended).

Last bottle of 6 held and drank over time from 2010 onward. Beautiful violet, floral nose. The sandalwood and strawberry have faded for a deeper profile of black fruits, fig, leather and tar, mushrooms. Still focused with medium weight, medium acid, coating the mouth for a silky finish. Well integrated tannins and just a delightful Barolo. At its peak. Enjoy now with proper decant. 93+
