A bit of time has smoothed out the rough edges on this one. Fresh blackberry-blueberry juice, prunes, a notable bitter herbal edge with savoury smoked meat undertone and balsamic vinegar finish. High acidity, low tannin and alcohol - both easy drinking but complex (and weird, let's be honest).

Gorgeous Similkameen Chard. The nose is classic - creamy lees contact, a little nutty oxidation, lemon zest. But the palate has this tense, wild energy - solid acidity with dried hay, sagebrush, wet gravel, and salinity. And backed up by some stone and citrus fruit and a bit of a bitter orange peel finish. I liked this better fairly cold - too warm and it loses its verve.

A nice lighter bodied, refreshing take on Cab Sauv without sacrificing ripeness or complexity. Blackberry, plum, red currant + thyme, sage, bay leaf, black pepper on the nose and palate. Little bit of balsamic va on the finish but not too its detriment.
