Unremarkable bouquet right out of the bottle, but a quick swirl opened up a super sweet aroma. Bright fruit on the palette -- almost like a sweet red table wine. A slight hint of fizz that might have been the onset of a second fermentation. Despite that, it paired well with a barbecue roast beef. Drink now if you still have it in your cellar.
Very astringent up front, but that leads to interesting notes of vanilla and red grape flavors (not fruity, just "grapey"). No terroir to speak of; probably aged out of our bottle. Expected more, but still a good drink (not disappointed). Definitely drink now if you still have a bottle in your cellar!
