On the nose, leather, sweet, dark fruits, florals, molasses, forest, hints of orange peel, closed but already complex and drinkable. On the palate, bitter, red tea, toasted oak. This wine has long legs and smooth with medium after taste. After the first hour, on the nose there are florals, molasses, chocolate and plums; on the palate, red tea, fried roasted taste, hints of minerals and meat. Getting more open up after two hours. Fantastic.

Personally I think this needs abit of decanting time. Tried one glass out of the bottle after opening and the acidity and alcohol level were quite high. The color looks like an old vintage with brown base. The nose is nice, filled with cedar, tobacco, berries and orange peel. After one hour of decanting: on the nose there are vanilla, strawberries and hints of orange peel left. On the palate it tastes quite fruity (for its age) and still contain alot of acidity, the texture is smoother and the after taste is long with fig. Drinking very well and kept improving for the next hour or so. Special Barolo for me.

This wine is drinking well at the moment. On the nose, oaky, vanilla, hints of coffee and floral. On the palate, dark fruits, coffee, hints of mocha and cream vanilla. Not much tannins left with smooth texture. Decanted for two hours and drinking well.
