Just opened ten minutes ago. Nose is quiet, faintly earthy, Mouthfeel is medium weight but smoo-ooth! (as Red Skelton used to say) and at this early point there is not much character to propose, perhaps yellow flowers, nothing particularly citric. Will post again later, when it's opened.

Drinking the 2010 Cognard Les Bassets and it's superb, lush, full body with a concentration of white flowers and fruit, slight touch of honey; a lovely, mouth-filling wine. Also drinking his Pouilly Loche 2014, another beautifully made wine, this one with a touch more sugar. I will seek out more Cognard wines. .

Lovely, medium-bodied, medium weight mouthful. Rich and appealing, with notes of apricot and (if it existed) white cherry (!) Age has given it depth. Not as profound as the Givry Grande Berge from the same Producers, this Montagny is miles above the usual, characterless stuff I associate with this appelation.
