Slow ox for 4 hours. Off the bat, the Elysian was more expressive, and the preferred wine. The Realm needed food a bit more. Both with massive, lengthy finishes.
Revisited later, and it was holding its stride well. Not sure it was noticeably improved, but certainly didn't fall off.
This is certainly high 90s if not approaching 100 for me. Beautiful vino.
Elysian was the preferred wine off the bat - more expressive overall - with the Realm having a little more back end/weight.
Then with the prime rib, the Realm really shined - was great with the food.
Revisited each several hours later. I think the Realm opened up a tick more, while the Elysian maintained an excellent stride. Both these wines have long, powerful finishes.
Right now, probably take the Elysian in isolation, especially if pressed for time on air/decanting or having without food. But both are amazing wines.
Pop and pour. Incredibly impressed with this wine. I gave my wife a glass blind (she has a better palate than me) and she said "Wow! What is that, a Schrader?"
High praise. But speaks to the deliciousness of this wine right out of the gate. Don't know they will get better with age, but doubt I will have the patience to find out! So good right now.

12/3/2015 8:49:00 AM - Thanks for the info on Odette availability in Dallas. I appreciate the help. Not sure this the best way to respond directly to my postings as I am fairly new to Cellartracker.
1/7/2014 7:09:00 PM - here is my Saunter note:
11/2/2013 - I like this wine: 95 points (Edit)
Taste of Howell Mountain. Nose of black and red cherry fruit, Howell Mountain earth, and touch of briar, more of the same on the palate, intense, concentrated, opened slowly in the glass, shows great promise of things to come with four years cellar time, seems like its waiting to explode in the glass, big body, and long finish, tasted three times, same results. My wine of the day. $110-ouch.
1/2/2014 5:15:00 AM - Your tasting note on the Saunter wine gives me a wine to taste in the future. If you like Bond matriarch which is above my price point, I suggest you try Baldacci Family Cabernet Sauvignon Brenda's Vineyard by winemaker Rolando Herrera.
9/19/2013 11:49:00 AM - Maybe the Col Solare will find some depth in the next few years? Probably not, but I want to revisit it in early '14 and see if things have improved.
