I’ve heard lots of wonderful things about this wine and been looking forward to trying it. There is plenty of dark fruits, plum, black cherry, blackberry along with a bit of lavender and some barnyard to round things off. Still given the complexity in the flavor, I was surprised at the relatively short finish. Nevertheless, a very, very good wine and one I’ll spend the money on again at some point.

More rosbust and less “elegant” than the previous vintage, there was lots of floral aromas on opening, especially sweet lavender. Plenty of dark fruit in the CA style including Plum, blackberry, a bit of dark cherry, and some prune towards the finish along with a bit of cacao and menthol. The finish was lingering and a pleasant reminder to the wine. Excellent and worth the few more $ for a special bottle.

A WoMC-V slection. Lots of dark fruit with the characteristic Carmenere taste. Only a hint of oak. I’m going to order more of this one.
