One of the most beautiful wines I've ever tasted. Roses and violet combined with ripe fruit leapt from the glass. The sensation transferred to the palate along with just the right amount of acidic structure and silky tannins to make this wine glass licking enjoyable. I'm so glad I have a few more bottles of this great wine stashed away in my cellar for special occasions.
Nice nose of pear, lemon peel with good mineral notes. Had an acidic backbone that might be a bit too bright for some palates. I think its structure made the wine pair well with the seafood we were eating. Most people in our dinner party said they enjoyed it. I bought the wine based on a recent wine challenge review from James Suckling on value white Burgundy where he gave it a 92 rating.
Enjoyed the bolder and more structured 2009 versus this. That's not to suggest the 10 is bad. It's a balanced and easy drinking wine (guests at dinner parties will like it). I just found this vintage to be a little one dimensional.
