Recently I opened 2 bottles of the 2010 Barterra Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve sharing with my friends, all of them got the same expression after smelling the wine, and their eyes were wide open. The first word after the first taste is “WOW”. They all love the wine, and one of my friends even rate it as one of the top three wine he has ever tasted. Their reaction is no surprise to me, it was exactly what happened to me in my tasting at Half moon Bay.
The wine is ready right after it was opened. The Aroma is full of fresh berries with a little bit of oak. This full body wine is very smooth and well balance , the finish is long with a bit spicy and sweetness.
It is very enjoyable now and I am looking forwards to tasted my last two bottles in coming years.

Opened 8 hours before tasting, this is an outstanding wine and is a MUST taste wine for Amarone lover, plus a great value for Quintarelli wine since it is a declassified Aamrone. It makes another Amarone taste like Valpolicella. Full body, intensive, complex, balance and long finish. it is great now and could be better in a few more years. 93+

The bottle was opened a night before tasting. This is a beautiful wine, the nose is full of red fruits, Full body, intensive and complex with a very long finish and it is extremely balance, can't believe that it is 17%. This is an outstanding wine and is far more better than all the Amarone that I tasted before, it has great potential for ageing and can't wait to taste it again in a few years. Quintarelli is a pricey wine but you must try it at least once in your lifetime, feel the magic that time creates.
