Bottle in good condition, level ts. Mature bordeaux-colour, loads of leafs, forest in the nose, mature but still tasty, classic mature bordeaux, still in balance. For the different qualities in this 1952 vintage in Bordeaux, especially in the Medoc, it might be one of the better wines from left riverside. Rating 88-89.

Good bottle condition, level vts. Clear deep mature dark red colour with slight brown reflexes. Aromas of leafs, cedar, some black currant. Delicious and classic mature St. Julien style. Perfect pairing to pheasant or duck. Much better in shape than expected. We did no decantation, the wine was well present for nearly one hour and started fading away very slowly after that time. Rating is a 90+, for me not much lower than the 1975 Leoville Las Cases.

Bottle in good condition, still drinkable (but only to a meal), but astringent, dry and over the top at least since 15-20 years. You can taste that it was never a good vintage.
