Takes Cote du Rhone to a higher stage. Dumb aroma, faintly dusky rose (typical C.D.R) then a blast of taste; complex mix of capsicum, garrigue herbs, southern Rhone red wine, sun on hot stones.
This is very good indeed. Certainly not a 'fine' wine, but definitely a superb example of a French country wine.

bought in Yorkshire England, paid £14 (similar price to entry level French chateau bottled Burgundy)
Wine lacks complexity - its very one dimensional, nothing subtle. Excellent aroma which is very tempting, taste is a very short blast of marshmallow with spiced plums, and then nothing. Nothing actually wrong with it, but fails to measure up against a similar priced Burgundy.
