I finally get to try this wine after searching for 9 years since reading the MFW 100 point review.

Very good bottle of semi-sweet riesling. Still quite sweet, also high acidity. Seems not fully integrated yet, and I will leave remaining bottles for some time to see what happens. Less concentrated than I would have expected.
Score: 93, but with potential.

Overall a good bottle in great shape for its age. Pleasant aroma and good concentration in flavor. This was my last bottle.

With all due respect, the Wine Society describes it as "delicious now"; most experts I checked say it is within its drinking window albeit only just. Jancis Robinson's notes on her website extol the virtues of it already and she starts her drinking window at 2017. Please don't accuse me of wasting wine in a rather peremptory tone.

9/26/2016 8:40:00 AM - Thanks for your comment on the Schaefer-Fröhlich wines. The Dellchen 2013 was good, with no strange aromas. That said, one of the "bad" ones lost some of its off aromas after a while. But, they really stinked.. And when they stink, they qualify for a flaw, or maybe 60 points.
