Equally earthy and fruity. The wine was note for note with Cameron's tasting notes, so I'm quoting him here. Don't mistake the notes thinking they imply this wine is sweet like a dessert wine. "Huge notes of toasty vanilla oak, chocolate, cigar smoke, and molten licorice. The wine soars across your palate with immense complexity, mingling chocolate, earth, and licorice gumdrops. It's massively structured, intense and concentrated with big, grainy tannins that are perfectly melded to a mineral component, cigar smoke, toffee, and earthy fruit."

This is a great wine. I say get it while the lot still exists.Great earthy plum and blackberry flavors that linger all over the tongue with great aromas. Let this wine age another year and decant it and I would probably give it 90+.

This may be better than a 92 but I tend to be a little conservative with my ratings. This has all the great characteristics of a Burgundian Pinot with a touch of the north west or Sonoma. Herby, earthy aromas with mint followed by flavors of herby mint and terroir and just a touch of the dark berry and strawberry. Outstanding and a must have for that special occasion. HMR.
