Red fruits, orange peel, rusty initial aromas. Characteristic of Granache. Red fruits, ripe cherries, some herbal flavors. Some spices, and nutty flavors also show. Light to medium bodied wine, suitable for casual drinking. Not much complexity and layers. Drinking relatively well now, but not a wine which would improve with further cellaring.

Initial aromas of mushroom, sous bois and chestnuts. Detected some black pepper notes, which was quite unusual. On the palate, tasted old world, with red fruits, blue berries, ripe cherries. Nice acidity, good balance. Good mineral core with pencil shavings and graphite notes. Delicious wine and was definitely surprised it was a new world wine.

Wine was still closed when first tasted. Some earthy, tar, tobacco and red mineral aromas. On first tasting the wine, fine restrained tannins, with hints of dusty and mushroom flavors. As the wine evolved, vibrant black fruits, plums and hints of peaches start to show. On the nose, some red floral aromas. Clearly a wine which can do with more cellaring, and would have loved to have let this wine breathe for longer for it to fully express itself.
