Effervescent and high acid. I genuinely thought VA stood for volatile acidity. It appeared this bottle was refermenting. Decanting helped. Should have rejected it.
Chalky minerality dominates your face. Good supporting acidity and some spice. Goose berry? or Green apple Well made wine for aging. Would save this for 3-5 years before tasting again. Good life ahead.

This bottle appears to have been on its way to being oxidized, but I have limited experience with Sancerre, so maybe this was the intended style. That said, it had a delicious fragrance of thyme and grilled nuts, was low acid with some sweetness and more grilled nuts on the palate. Medium weight good balance. No official rating, as I'm not sure that other bottles will be like mine (which was stored well on my end). Maybe 91-92. This was top contender for WOTN, which had tough competition, including a J.L Chave White Hermitage from 1998, 2014 Vaillon Chablie from Moreau, 2011 Ganevat Oregane, and 2010 Pithon Paile Saumur Blanc, The wine looks silver colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.
