in a perfect drinking window now. Classic sangiovese sour cherry notes with a hint of balsamic and tobacco. Layered and balanced with a pleasant grip on the finish. Should drink well over the next 2-3 years.

Double decanted for 4 hours. This wine opened beautifully with a nose that was not overwhelming but pleasant and refined. Full bodied with a nice balance of oak, dark fruits and somewhat complex layering paired with a ground lamb pasta dish enjoyed with 4 other friends on a covid manageable dinner. The finish while not particularly long lasting was also elegant and begs for another sip. This wine -while in a beautiful drinking window-has, I believe 3-5 years of memorable drinking ahead (plenty of pleasant grip even after the decant). Outstanding!

Opened 2 hours and poured through a vinturi. Not as big a nose as I'd remembered from a prior bottle but silky smooth plum on the mid palate. Full bodied and perfect with a New Years Eve prime rib dinner. The finish is quite impressive and the judicious use of oak makes for a lovely wine in a great drinking window. Tannins are soft but there is still plenty of structure in this wine. It should be noted that I am not a big fan of Aussie Shiraz in general, but this was excellent. I would guess there's another 2-3 years of fine drinking.
