If you're willing to wait through the , "un-giving stage" as I feel this extraordinary wine is in, the 05' PC, you will be rewarded with the secondary and tertiary aromas & flavors that we know classified Bordelaise wines can deliver. By no means do I preach that you can't drink them now, after all, we are all mortal. But maybe wait a little bit and quaf a a few of these 05's while you wait a bit for the big guys to flesh out.

The second of 2 bottles picked up at a reputably auction house with assured provenance. The first was gone, cork was dry and the juice had turned to tart vinegar. Bottle 2 last night had a relativly dry cork as well and the wine exhibited green apple notes and mot much else over a good amount of time in the glass. It was clipped in every way and exibited none of the expected nuances mentioned in any of the other positive reviews. It tasted basically like a base line Gruener, base line! There were a couple of whiffs of Semillion but they were fleeting. I have read and been told by wine experts that past Chevalier blancs were known to have some cork issues. I hope they have worked these issues out with respect to current vintages. I know it's a biological animal but it shouldn't be a risk/ maybe reward propositon considering the price of admission and benifit of cellering.

The second bottle lives! Nice effort but the Cariignane drives this wine and it might be abit to funky for some. It also appears that the fruit was picked uber ripe, has matured faster than expected in thye bottle and the juice is quick to oxidize in the glass.IMHO I think it's time to drink up!
