can't keep my hands off the small stash of this--super nose and palate, very Chablis--minerals and rocks buttressed by classy acidity, high-toned fruit, all in a nice package. Lots of lemon zest and some grapefruit, it's tight but very approachable. This is the only 01 Chablis I bought and it's a winner.

light yellow, expected for age, reticent nose, but tight acidic palate that took hours to unwind--lemon, apples, lots of stones. Drunk 10 years too young. Very long, very intense, very acidic. Sour twang on finish disappeared after first glass. Very good wine, but shockingly unevolved. Will drink again in 5 years or more . . . alan
