I’m not sure of the point of keeping the 96 any longer really though, unless for experimental purposes just to see how long it does go. As you allude to though, the cork is an issue. I haven’t experienced cork taint with any but the corks do tend to break unless you’re very careful.     7/8/2018 1:20:00 AM - Hi Parko82 Sorry for this slow response. We didn't decant the wine although it was open about 30 mins before de drank the wine. The wine structure was excellent and the fruit flavour was well balanced by the tannins. From memory the wine drank beautifully and was well balanced so I don't remember them being astringent as such. I can also say it was the first wine of the night that lead us to opening the 2012 which was a lot more closed than the 2013. Hope this helps and enjoy.
