I purchased the bottle for $15 at Trader Joe's not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was an enjoyable bottle of Bordeaux! It doesn't have the depth or richness of a great bottle of Pauillac, but it definitely tastes of its appellation. It smells of red fruit and the earthy perfume I look for in Pauillac. No, it's not Pichon Lalande, but for the price it is excellent. A fun table wine, and a solid entry level Pauillac. Decant for an hour and drink over the next 4 to 5 years. 88-90
It was okay, I was expecting more after the reviews. The nose was the best part, nice earthy complexity. The palate was a let down. It was too sweet and one dimensional. I kept waiting for it to open and give more, but it didn't. Disappointing for sure.
