I had it with excellent crèpes Suzettes after an extraordinary dinner with escargots and tournedos Rossini.
The cork was black down to half its length but no deterioration below that. Pulled up with an ordinary corkscrew without any problems.
Amber color. Nose of honey, marzipan and apricots. First sip. Extraordinary concentration and balance. Ten minutes pause. Second sip (my vanilla ice cream to the crepes was melting). New aromas coming through. Arctic cloudberries maybe. Almost total elegance despite its power and concentration. Best wine I ever had.
Only flaw: I could have wished for just a little more acidity, but in turn, that could have reduced its elegance. Difficult to know.
It is probably at its top now.
